Tennis

I grew up playing tennis in Portland, where practices eventually turned into junior tournaments, high school matches, and years of chasing the next point. In high school, I had the chance to win two district championships and make it to the quarterfinals of the state tournament. But somewhere along the way, tennis became about much more than the results.

The sport has taught me patience, resilience, discipline, and how to stay composed when things do not go according to plan. It has also given me opportunities I never expected, especially through teaching. From young beginners to adults picking up a racquet later in life, coaching has shown me how rewarding it can be to help someone discover confidence in something new.

Even after all these years, tennis is still simply something I love. Whether I am competing, teaching, or just hitting with friends, if I'm not studying I can be found on the nearest tennis court.
